VERA is a private documentation tool that helps workers record workplace incidents, evidence, and timelines for their own personal use, outside employer-controlled systems. VERA is not a law firm, and VERA does not provide legal advice. Using VERA does not create an attorney-client relationship. VERA does not guarantee any legal, employment, or financial outcome. 2. Who can use VERA
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding agreement to use VERA. You agree to provide accurate account information and to keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
3. Your content and your ownership
You own the records you create in VERA. We do not claim ownership of your content. You are responsible for the content you record. You agree to only document your own genuine workplace experiences and evidence, to not upload content that is unlawful or that you have no right to record or store, and to comply with applicable laws, including any laws in your location regarding the recording of conversations. You are responsible for understanding the laws that apply to you. VERA does not advise on whether any particular recording or documentation is lawful in your jurisdiction.
4. How you may use VERA
You agree not to use VERA for any unlawful purpose, attempt to access another person's account or records, interfere with or attempt to breach the security of the app, or reverse engineer or copy the app except as permitted by law. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
5. Privacy
Your use of VERA is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what information we handle and the control you have over it.
6. Plans and pricing
VERA offers a free tier that allows you to document a limited number of incidents at no cost. Additional plans and features may be offered over time, including subscription and one-time purchase options. Where a plan has a cost, the price and terms will be presented clearly before you are charged. Any paid features are optional, and you can continue using the free tier without purchasing.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep VERA available and reliable, but we provide the app "as is" and do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update, change, or discontinue features over time.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
VERA is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. VERA is a documentation tool, not legal, employment, or financial advice, and we are not responsible for decisions you make based on your use of the app. To the fullest extent permitted by law, VERA will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

You may stop using VERA and delete your account at any time. See our Account & Data Deletion page.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
